Johanna began designing and sewing as a young girl after watching her mother Anne-Thérèse working as a Tailor.
She went on to study Fashion and Textiles at Liverpool John Moores University whilst continuing to work with her mother Anne-Thérèse, designing and making made to measure clothes for fashion insiders and red carpet events.
Spending every summer in Italy, France and Spain with her family inspired her collection of summer dresses and the soft colour palette of vintage Italy and France was translated into the linen and cotton dresses that Johanna is now known for. The summer collection is made of sustainable, natural, premium quality linen or cotton while the winter collection is made from organic cotton, recycled or deadstock fabric. Johanna designs each ‘forever piece’ herself which she then hand makes in her UK studio. They are always made in small limited edition runs or often one-off pieces in unique fabrics. The pieces are also influenced by her mixed European Heritage and combine Italian effortless style, Spanish love of colour, French understated elegance and Scandinavian minimalism to create voluminous, vintage silhouettes with couture details and her signature large bows and ruffles. As well as being an ecologically sound dress choice, they are carefree and comfortable enough to ride a bike, or run around after three children.
Johanna lives with her 3 sons and her husband Johnny – a photographer and musician -who brings all her dresses to life on film in their shoots for Instagram.
